Karnataka State Open University launched KSOU Radio, an internet Radio for the benefit of
all students which can be heard through a Mobile App. Skilled Professors, External
Resource Persons are deliver lessons and supplementary materials to students.
The duration of current radio shows is 24 X 7. As KSOU is an Open University, radio is
proving to be useful to students, who come from different age group, strata of society.
KSOU Radio was launched by the then Higher Education Minister of Karnataka
Government Dr. C N Ashwathhanarayana on 07th April 2022. The radio has been
continuously being broadcast ever since.
Students can download this KSOU Radio app from Google Play Store as well as the KSOU
official website and listen to the lessons. KSOU Radio is providing a lot of useful content in
addition to the curriculum. It is gratifying that KSOU Radio has been instrumental in
delivering lessons and extracurricular content to students in the space they are in, in a time
when students are getting on with the fast pace of society.
KSOU Radio produces and broadcasts content on curriculum and supplementary topics.
The duration of the programs is 15 minutes each.
