Mahatma Gandhi Study Chair


Inroduction

As per KSOU sub rule XIX and case 23(3) of KSOU Act 1992, with the signature of the Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka and Pro-chancellor with the purpose of carrying out various academic activities at Mahatma Gandhi’s thoughts at the KSOU. Mahatma Gandhi Chair was inaugurated on 21-10-2005 at KSOU.

Vision

To ensure sustainable human development which encourages self-reliant and self- content society and to develop the culture of simple living and high thinking.

Mission

1.To impart necessary training to teachers to create self-reliant society for future.

2.To educate students in areas like management, finance, human relations to inculcate philosophy of simple living and high thinking,

KARNATAKA STATE OPEN UNIVERSITY, MYSURU

Courses of KSOU are recognised by University Grants Commision (UGC) New-Delhi vide order No: F.No 4-1/2023 (DEB-III) Dated : 16th June 2023 for the period from 2023-24 to 2027-28
