Karnataka State Open University has launched KSOU Radio, an internet Radio for the benefit of all students, which can be heard by all students through the Mobile App. Through this radio, skilled professors, external resource persons are presenting lessons and supplementary materials to students.
The duration of current radio shows is 6pm to 10pm and re-broadcast The next day will be from 8 am to 12 noon.
As ours is an open university, we re-broadcast the 2-hour program over a 2 hour period, keeping track of all students' listening times.
The radio station was launched by the Higher Education Minister of Karnataka Government Sri C N Ashwathhanarayana on 07th April 2022. The radio has been continuously broadcasting ever since.
The Hon'ble Chancellor and other senior officials are providing all possible coordination and guidance for this radio broadcast.
Students can download this radio app from the KSOU official web site and listen to the lessons.
KSOU Radio is providing a lot of useful information and publications in addition to the
curriculum.
It is gratifying that KSOU Radio has been instrumental in delivering lessons and extracurricular content to students in the space they are in, in a time when students are getting on with the fast pace of society.
