BA

BA programme, a three years annual mode programme offered by the university through distance mode follows the regulations of UGC. It covers social science elements coupled with the study of language and literature.. The programme is ideally suited for those who seek to be a generalist and acquire a basic degree. It shall help to aspirants of various competitive exams.

The languages offered are Kannada, Hindi, English, Telugu, Sanskrit, Urdu and optional subjects offered are History, Economics, Political Sciene, Sociology, Anthropology, Education, Psychology, Geography, Public Administration, Kannada, Hindi, Urdu and English.

Students can select any learning support centre at thier nearest place for classes, submission of assignment and exam.

B.Com

B.Com is of 3 year undergraduate programme. This programme is universally accepted, as the same has proper mix of the courses which can impart proper knowledge and requisite skill in the field of the business both at micro and macro level.

B.Com programme involves the study of accounting at various levels, direct tax and indirect taxes, now GST. Further computer enabled accounting, E-commerce on business, marketing, banking, insurance; entrepreneurship skill including auditing of accounts provides greater opportunities for the candidates to acquire specific knowledge and skill. All this will enable the students to harness themselves to take up challenges or tasks in different field of the business. The students of B.Com will get employment in banking, insurance, stock market, accounting and auditing, IT industry, Tax department and also various sectors.

The learners in this programme will have exposure with two languages of their choice at level I and level II at the same time, they will be experiencing with core subject (compulsorily) at all the levels.

BBA

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), is a three years, six semesters professional Degree Programme, shall have six semesters. BBA course is the gateway to numerous job opportunities in a plethora of sectors like Marketing, Education, Finance, Sales, and Government to name just a few. The BBA Programme has worldwide recognition. The BBA programme is offers in KSOU through open and Distance mode under choice based credit system.

The Candidate who have cleared 10 +2 (SSLC and PUC) or equivalent are eligible to take admission to BBA.

B.Sc

B.Sc programme offered through distance mode is spread over in six semesters (three years) which meets the bench mark prescribed by UGC. The study accords thrust on core science subjects to choose from (any three) such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Botany, Biochemistry, zoology, micro biology, Food Science and Nutrition, Environment Science with higher credits and languages with requisite credits commensurate with the conventional mode.

The programme also provides a scope for mandatory components such as the Indian constitution, Environment Science, Soft Skills, The quantum of study is distributed in all the years of study in balanced manner. Further the program creates a platform for furtherance of higher studies and research, besides creating employment opportunities in different sectors related to basic science. The programme is ideally suited for those who seek to be a generalist and acquire a basic degree.

B.Sc IT

B.Sc Information Technology is an undergraduate programme for a total duration of 3 years divided into 6 semesters. This programme syllabus is based on latest software, databases, and networking designed to impart theoretical and practical knowledge on storing, processing, and managing information securely.

Aspirants contemplating on what to do after B.Sc IT can pursue M.Sc IT or similar IT courses available across the globe. This programme open enormaous employment oppurtunity in almost every field as IT is pervasive in every sector. BCA

Bachelor of Computer Application or BCA is a three years (six semesters) undergraduate degree course in computer applications.. With the rapid growth of IT industry in India, the demand of computer professional is increasing day by day. This increasing growth of IT industry has created a lot of opportunities for the computer graduates. Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) is one of the popular courses among the students who want to make their career in the IT (Information Technology) field. 

It comprises of the subjects like data structure, networking, operating system, IOT, Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Cost and Management Accounting, core programming languages like C ++, ‘java’, Python, Visual Programming. This course provides a lot of opportunities to the students who are interested in computer field and wants to work in the IT sector as programmer or software developer. 

B.Sc Home Science

 B.Sc. Home Science degree will provide both theoretical and practical science knowledge and skills that enable them to work in the different scientific organizations and institutions. Home Science, focuses on how human beings grow and develops from womb to tomb including family and societal issues. As an interdisciplinary subject (Human development, Psychology and Human Nutrition) it is focusing on the development of family and community across the lifespan, helping students learn to identify factors that influence cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development through the life span in the contexts of psycho-social, culture and family and their nutritional needs.

Thus the programme helps in creating healthy citizens and healthy society both physically, mentally and socially. The program helps students to prepare for a career where they will work with people in a supportive role, including developing new models to prevent and treat social and mental health problem and becoming an advocate for new social policies and programs.
